Research focusing on retail- and service industries
The Institute of Retail Economics analyzes questions of importance to retail trade and other service industries. Our research is focused on studying the regional significance of retail, the digitization of retail, and how the institutional conditions affect retail- and wholesale firms.
The Institute was activated on March 1, 2016 and consists of the former research division at HUI Research. At present, nine researchers, including five doctoral students, are employed by the Institute of Retail Economics. The research is conducted in close collaboration with HUI.
