Research description
My research focuses on conditions and policy reforms affecting firms’ growth and employment possibilities. Currently I am part of an ongoing research project analyzing how changes of the Swedish payroll tax level affect the employment level among native and foreign-born individuals. Lowering employment costs could be instrumental for decreasing the wide unemployment gap between native and foreign-born. A particular focus is being put on the retail industry, which could be important in integrating foreign born on the Swedish labor market. I have previously investigated the importance of recruitment for firm productivity, and whether an improved business climate can contribute to increased employment among foreign-born individuals.
